Mounted on a Reel Tailer

Mount the wrapper on your Reel Trailer and run the cables through as they are reeled off. Quick and easy.

Parked

Set the wrapper down and pull the cables through it without moving the machine at all. No trailer, no special machines.

On a VelociWrapper Trailer

If you don’t have room on the back of your reel trailer, or you don’t want to figure out how to mount it on there, mount the wrapper on the VelociWrapper Trailer and double-tow it behind your reel trailer, so the reel and the wrapper move down the run together.

On an Excavator

Hang the wrapper off your excavator with the Excavator Adapter and track along the trench, wrapping the cable straight into it.

Wrap the Cable Straight Into the Trench

If you don’t want a wrapper parked on a trailer, don’t park it. The Excavator Adapter mounts to the top of a VelociWrapper 312 or a JAW and connects it straight to your excavator. The excavator tracks along next to the trench, and the cable comes out bundled and goes straight in. You’re not covering the same ground twice, and the bundle isn’t getting handled in between.

A turntable lets the wrapper spin freely so it follows the cable, or you can pin it in place when you want the setup rigid. You can change it on site. Or you can get a rigid excavator adapter on the VelociWrapper JAW to allow full control without the wrapper swinging.

The pins can be custom sized to fit the excavator you’re actually running, rather than expecting you to adapt to a standard.

What is the Excavator Adapter?

It’s a mount that connects a VelociWrapper 312 or a VelociWrapper JAW directly to an excavator, so the machine can bundle cable straight into the trench.

Can I use a VelociWrapper without a trailer?

Yes. You can hang it off an excavator with the Excavator Adapter, or park it and pull the cables through it without moving the machine at all.

Does the wrapper rotate on the adapter?

Yes. The turntable lets it spin freely so it follows the cable, or you can pin it in place for a rigid setup. You can also get an excavator adapter rigidly mounted to the JAW with no turn table to give you full control with the excavator if this configuration fits your project profile better.

Will it fit my excavator?

The pins are sized to match the excavator you’re running. You can order custom sized pins. The default pin size is CAT 312/315 pins.

What size Excavator can I run VelociWrapper 312/JAW on?

A 12-ton to 20-ton Excavator is recommended to operate the VelociWrapper 312 and the VelociWrapper JAW on the Excavator Adapter. Any smaller and the weight of the machine plus cables could tip the excavator, any more and the pins might be too large to fit on the Adapter. VelociWrapper Trailer

Get the Wrapper to the Job, and Set It at the Right Height Once You’re There

A wrapper that’s a hassle to move tends to stay where it is, which means it’s working on one run when another run needs it. The VelociWrapper Trailer is 15 feet long and built for job site conditions, with an axle-less design and heavy duty grating so mud falls through, so moving the machine doesn’t turn into its own project.

Between projects you hook it to a pickup and drive it. On site you double-tow it behind the reel trailer, so the reel and the wrapper move down the run together.

The mount frame adjusts for height, so the wrapper lines up with the height of your reel trailer. The cable pays out in a more natural shape, and that’s what gives you the best wrap.

The Fairlead and the Excavator Adapter both mount to the trailer for transport, so your whole setup travels together instead of taking up room on another truck. Perfect for rental setups so the whole setup can be offered and easily transported to the jobsite.

What is the VelociWrapper Trailer?

It’s a heavy duty 15-foot trailer purpose-built to carry a VelociWrapper 312 or a VelociWrapper JAW, along with a Telovor Fairlead and an Excavator Adapter.

How is it towed?

Behind a pickup truck between projects, or double-towed behind a reel trailer on site. It includes a ball hitch and pintle hitch which can be swapped out for different towing configurations.

Why does the mount height adjust?

So the wrapper matches the height of your reel trailer. That keeps the cable paying out at a natural shape, which gives you a better wrap and puts less stress on your cable and on the machines.

Can it carry a Fairlead and an Excavator Adapter at the same time?

Yes, both mount to the trailer for transport along with a VelociWrapper 312 or VelociWrapper JAW.

Is the VelociWrapper Trailer Road-Legal?

Yes. The VelociWrapper Trailer is issued a VIN number from the factory and has the lighting and (optional) brakes for towing on public highways.

Stop Unbolting Your JAW Every Time the Cables Come Out

A JAW bolted down to a trailer has to be unbolted every time you want to lift it off the cables, and bolted back down before you can wrap again. That’s somebody with a wrench at both ends of every move, on a machine whose whole point is getting cable in and out quickly.

The Quick Mount is a frame that bolts to your reel trailer or your VelociWrapper Trailer and holds the JAW. You release the safety pin, pull the latches back and lift the JAW straight off the cables. No tools and no bolts.

Setting it back down is easier still. The JAW snaps into place on its own. You re-engage the safety pins and you’re ready to wrap again.

The Quick Mount itself bolts down once and stays there.

What is the Quick Mount?

It’s a frame that bolts to a reel trailer or a VelociWrapper Trailer (Or any suitable surface) and holds a VelociWrapper JAW, so the JAW can be released and lifted off without unbolting it.

How do I get a JAW off the cables without unbolting it?

With a Quick Mount. Release the safety pin, pull the latches back and lift the JAW straight off.

How does it go back on?

Set the JAW down on the Quick Mount and it snaps into place automatically. Re-engage the safety pins and you’re ready to wrap.

Where does it mount?

To a reel trailer or to the VelociWrapper Trailer. It can be mounted to any suitable surface.

Does the Quick Mount work with the VelociWrapper 312?

Kind of… It has a bolt pattern that the 312 can mount to. The quick-detach feature does not work with the 312 as it is not needed.
